Jenna Jameson

Born April 9, 1974 to a Las Vegas showgirl mother and police officer father, Jenna Jameson got her start in the place commonly referred to as “Sin City”.

With the help of a fake ID, Jameson landed a job dancing at a strip club when she was only 17 years old. Young Jenna was still in braces and was rejected at first because of them. Highly determined and not to be deterred, she got hold of a pair of pliers and removed the obstacle herself.

Dancing led to nude modeling and nude modeling led to fame. Within a year, Penthouse, Hustler, and a number of other magazines photographed Jameson and soon the offers to do adult movies started coming in.

With her father’s blessing, she began her journey into the adult film industry. She achieved instant stardom, and for the first time in porn history, an actress took home the XRCO “Best New Starlet”, the F.O.X.E. “Video Vixen” and the AVN “Best New Starlet” awards all in the same year. Since then, she has won virtually every honor the adult industry bestows.

Jameson’s drive and talent enabled her to make one of the most successful crossovers in entertainment history. She is quite possibly the number one person responsible for bringing explicit adult entertainment into the mainstream.

She has made regular appearances on well-known television shows, from hosting E!’s “Wild On” to spots on “Fox Magazine,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “Extra,” HBO and many others. She has also appeared in major films and music videos. The 2004 publication of her book, How To Make Love Like A Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale, legitimized her even further – especially since it became a bestseller.
