Catnose for June 2008

This latest installment of Catnose is based on actual conversations that Lucinda and I have had about cosmetics. As a makeup artist, she’s witnessed some makeup that sucked hard.

If you want to get an idea of the kind of freak shows she has witnessed, I suggest that you visit the Bad Makeup community at LiveJournal. Go there to see what I mean by gluing stuff to the helpless faces of models who are forced to look like drag queens. It hurts my head just thinking about it. Thank goodness Lucinda is a fine makeup artist, and was decent enough to accept my invitation to get flown out to New York for advance training in her field. My face deserves the best because I’m vain, insecure, and I want to look prettier than I actually am. Then again, isn’t that the way of the model?
