LemmeCheck Lots Of Changes

Notice anything different? Announcing the latest edition of LemmeCheck — there’s a lot of changes around here that we hope you enjoy.
Since 1997, models, content producers and of course our readers, have helped shape the way we do business and the type of content we feature. That hasn’t changed — this update is a direct product of the feedback received. As we celebrate our tenth year, we’ve implemented a lot of features that have been requested for quite some time.
Over the years, we’ve included suggestions and ideas, but there were also some that, at the time, we looked at carefully and ultimately decided to postpone implementing for one reason or another. The major factor we ask ourselves anytime we consider changes are whether the changes are demanded by the majority and, if so, then we have to determine the extent of negative impact on the minority. It is indeed a fine balance to maintain in trying to keep as many people happy as possible.
Having said that, we’ve kept a list of the most often requested items and narrowed it down to a concise set of features to be included with this update. Among other things, some of the highlights of features and changes are outlined below:
- Bigger format - This item alone has been requested since 2003, and steadily ever since. However, we held off making the site better optimized for 1024 screen sizes simply because of the number of people using 800×600. With Windows XP and MAC screens ever increasing, coupled with the popularity of higher resolution LCD monitors becoming more affordable, we understand that the overwhelming majority are now using a monitor capable of a minimum of 1024 resolution. The timing is right for this change.
- Nudity - This decision did not come lightly, for a variety of reasons. However, the demand has been increasing steadily for more than 5 years and again, timing is right. Going forward, LemmeCheck will include mild, tasteful nudity, primarily topless.
- Dynamic Gallery Format - Now you can view each features sample images without having to navigate page by page. Instead, clicking any image will shade out the background and allow you to view each image without leaving the page itself.
- Video Clips - We’ve added the ability to accommodate video clips. You will need a browser with the FLASH plugin. It’s free.
- User Interaction - With the latest format, our readers can offer their own comments on our features and various aspects of the site.
- More frequent updates - This is something that, prior to now, was simply not possible. Our new system lets us include more features, and update them more often. Now we can bring you updates from around the web and keep you informed as to who has updated their sites, and include some samples.
- RSS feeds - If you have an RSS capable browser (most modern browsers are capable), you can add our feed and be notified of updates we have added instantly. If you see something that interests you, then you can click to read that specific feature rather than wade through the entire site.
We realize there are some pretty significant changes here, and it may require a little time to become familiar and comfortable with the new format. However, once adjusted, we’re pretty confident most will agree that the changes implemented in this new version far exceed the functionality of our previous version.
Going forward, we have a few more user submitted ideas we’re considering and, as always, will continue to evolve the site as necessary to accommodate as many people as possible.
We hope you like the new format.
